Job Description

As a backup school bus driver, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their daily commutes.

Daily driving

Safe driving: Responsible for safely picking up and dropping off students within the specified time, ensuring that they arrive at school and home on time.

Comply with traffic laws: Strictly abide by all traffic rules and school safety policies to ensure driving safety.

Student Management

Passenger Management: Ensure the safety of students during driving and handle any problems or emergencies during the ride.

Boarding and boarding assistance: Assist students to board and board the bus and ensure they enter and exit the school bus safely.

Vehicle Maintenance

Daily Inspection: Regularly check the mechanical condition of the school bus, including brakes, lights, and tires, to ensure that the vehicle is in good condition.

Cleaning and Maintenance: Keep the interior and exterior of the school bus clean, and perform necessary cleaning and maintenance regularly.

Record Management

Driving Records: Accurately record the daily mileage, number of passengers, and any abnormal conditions for subsequent reporting.

Accident Reporting: If any accident or unexpected situation occurs, report it to the supervisor in time and fill out relevant documents.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: Drivers earn between $34 and $38 per hour.

Qualification Requirements

No experience is required. You will receive free training from day one (and throughout your career at Diversified Transportation); all you need is a valid unrestricted Class 5 or higher driver's license

Flexible Availability: Flexible availability is required to replace regular drivers during vacations, sick leave and other absences.

Local Knowledge: Good understanding of local conditions to better plan driving routes.

Good Driving Record: A clean driver profile and good driving record are required.

No criminal record.
